THE Balloon Flight School furnishes a training balloon, instructor, a crew person, vehicle, propane and insurance for $375 per flight hour. Minimum of one hour per outing. Check Ride cost is $475 for Private and $515 for Commercial including DPE. See packaged courses below for additional discounted rates.
Customer Owned Balloon​​
THE Balloon Flight School furnishes the instructor at $125 per flight hour. Minimum one hour per outing. Customer supplies balloon, vehicle, crew, vehicle/balloon fuel and insurance. Check ride with instructor as crew. $400 private. $440 commercial including DPE. See packaged courses below for additional discounted rates.

Commercial Pilot Rating
10 Hours flight training, including solo time, check ride additional. Student must have a minimum of 35 hours of flight in some aircraft to complete the commercial flight training.

Training manual and logbooks are available to students at their own expense. The above package price includes both pre-flight briefing and post-flight critiques and prep for check ride. The above assumes the student has either passed the written exam or is currently a Pilot Certificate holder. Formal ground school is not included in price.

Curriculum consists of 3 stages: FAR's and other government publications: weather; Navigation/maps usage, balloon theory; flight fundamentals; FAA written exam is $175. Course requires a minimum of 18 hours to complete. (average is 25 hours).
